The aims of TOANZ

The Telehandler Owners Association of New Zealand (TOANZ) is designed to represent telehandler owners in the New Zealand workplace. Our objective is to provide a forum where common concerns amongst telehandler owners can be voiced and addressed.

Key aims for the Telehandler Owners Association of New Zealand

Our association places a strong focus on the following three areas and we are working towards developing a 'best practice guidelines' for telehandlers in the New Zealand workplace.

Standards

We want to clarify and develop appropriate standards that telehandler owners are to meet. We want to be a leading voice for this to ensure our industry remains world-class.

Driver Training

We want to ensure telehandlers are used to the best of their capabilities and the people that drive them are well aware of how they function. We will seek to encourage driver training at all levels to keep the telehandler operators as safe as possible while improving the standards of training provided.

Maintenance

We will work towards setting up standards for the acceptable servicing of telehandlers in New Zealand.

Networking

A big part of our work is to facilitate networking and information sharing and we welcome new initiatives from members around this. We hold regular meetings in our home base of Christchurch, New Zealand and at various locations around the country.
